Agile Metrics – the important and complex art of counting
Metrics is one of the most discussed (and quite possibly misunderstood) topics in the field of Agile Software Development.
This excellent article by XSCALE Alliance member Leon Tranter of Extreme Uncertainty provides a comprehensive guide, covering nearly every possible metric you could potentially want to use, and tell you what they mean, when you should use them, how you should use them, and when you shouldn’t use them.
As Leon states at the end of his article “not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.”
